Executive Leadership Team
Chief Executive Officer
Slaughter joined F3 on June 6, 2012. Rising through Regional F3 leadership in the mothership of Metro he joined the Nation’s leadership group in 2017 ending up at the current Chief Operating Officer. His mammon is owning a regional construction company. Slaughter also sits on the Board of Directors for two different construction trade associations. Extensive experience in the financial, legal, and operational areas of these entities serves him well at the helm of the “back of house” operations of the Nation. With a strong belief in the personal empowerment abilities of F3, Slaughter is focused on increasing membership across the globe while continuously assisting in adding tools to the F3 repertoire to help men have a strong impact in their families and communities. He also co-founded the Nation’s first workouts at a men’s residential substance abuse treatment facility and homeless shelter, both in Charlotte. The model has been used across the country and is one of the pillars for creating diversity in the Nation.
Slaughter has a wife and daughter and an intensely burning love/hate affair with the game of golf.
Ask him his favorite part of F3 and he’ll tell you “Acting like absolute children at 5:30 in the morning. If you’ve never been to a workout in the pouring rain, you’re missing out. It has healing powers”.
Chief Financial Officer
Roger Briggs aka “The Mighty Lance” or “TML” lives in Charlotte, NC, with his wife, Katharine (FiA’s “Guinevere”), son Beau (“Chet”) and daughter Caroline (“Cornflake”). He dates back to the early days of F3, joining the PAX of Charlotte Metro back in the summer of 2011. Since that time he has said ‘yes’ to pretty much anything anyone in F3 has asked of him, whether it’s CSAUP’s, mission trips, or serving 2.5 years as Metro’s Nan’tan. TML credits F3 for improving every facet of his life. He has been involved with several local charitable organizations, including serving on the board of Charlotte Family Housing for 7 years. Professionally, TML has worked in commercial real estate finance for the vast majority of his career, including 20 years at Wells Fargo and its predecessors.
Chief Operating Officer
Erik Nowak grew up on West Virginia on the family farm. His days were filled with dirt, chicken manure, and long hours picking fruits and vegetables. At 18 he became a Hokie and eventually joined the Army. He has served in uniform for 16 years and counting.
In April of 2017, he became Gobbler when The Nation planted the first shovel flag in the Steel City. In October 2019 he traveled across the country to Tacoma, WA where he joined the pax of F3 Puget Sound.
His new home brought new F3 duties. He joined the TRUEbadours and worked to help the regions of the West. In April 2021 he fell and hit his head. Dark Helmet took advantage of Gobbler in his weakened condition and asked him to be the Nation’s Weasel Shaker. He faithfully shook the Nation’s largest weasel till December 2022. At that time Slaughter took pity on him and saved from the frying pan and threw him into the fire by appointing him COO. This one two punch of hazing has left Gobbler permanently damaged and barely able to function.
Gobbler is a Project Manager for a Commercial Construction Company with a focus on the Federal Sector. He continues to serve his country as an Army Reserve Officer. In his spare time he helps his M with her small business, Might Ruby Makes, where they create knit and crochet hats, ear warmers, coozies, and other interesting creations.
Gobbler has been blessed with an amazing M, three 2.0’s: Imogen, Esme, and everyone’s favorite- Otto.
Chief Marketing Officer
David Kelly has over 24 years of regional and retail automotive marketing experience. David is currently the Chief Marketing Officer with the Gettel Automotive Group, a 20-store automotive dealership group in southwest Florida and Georgia. David joined the organization after moving from Tega Cay, SC, to Lakewood Ranch, FL, in December of 2016. Having moved away from F3 The Fort, David planted an F3 mustard seed in his new town that flourished into full region status within 12 months. Based on the success of the F3 Suncoast region, David was named Q of Expansion in May 2020 and is excited to move into the role of CMO for F3 Nation. David is married and has two children.
Shared Leadership Team
Frank joined F3 down in Fort Mill, SC, in Fall of 2014 with the intent of “not being fat anymore”. The complete trajectory of his life would change, however, from that point. He caught the vision of Sua Sponte leadership and in not too long a time, he found himself being asked to help with things at the Nation level. At the beginning of 2020, he began serving as the first ever President of F3 Nation, under the re-organized F3 structure.
Because of the dramatic effect of F3 on his life, he founded a leadership training consultancy in December of 2019, called G3L Leadership. G3L takes all the learnings from F3, as well as the training in communication, leadership, and Psychology that Frank has taken in his undergraduate and Graduate studies and puts it all together to help organizations create leaders.
Frank has been a successful entrepreneur prior to his starting of G3L, founding LEC Media in 2007, a corporate communications and video firm in Charlotte, NC which served clients like, Bank of America, Electrolux, Honeywell, and others.
He also serves in leadership in his church and community, is the husband of his far better half, Tracy, and is the father of three wonderful red-headed daughters (ages 16, 14, and 10).
Head of Leadership Dev
Seth Brown joined F3 on April 18, 2015, because his neighbor and good buddy Shrimp mentioned “in F3, we work out in the gloom so we can be fathers and husbands the rest of the day”. That phrase hit home in just the right way.
Since that day Seth served as a Site Q, Nantan, and created several ways to seek to invigorate the region, like the 3 Headed Hound and Black Pearl. Since March 2017, Seth has been part of the GrowRuck team, serving as the Q from the summer of 2018 to the winter of 2020.
Seth met his bride, Joanna, in 1992, when they went to their first Valentines Dance. They have two shorties, Caitlin and Madison, who are strong, independent ladies (most of the time;).
Seth serves the principals, teachers and students with Pitt County Schools where he has aimed to “engage and empower effective, creative, and innovative teacher leaders since 1997. He is the co-Director of DEEL, the Department of Excellence, Equity, and Leadership, where he led over $25M in federal grants focused on teacher and school leadership.
Head of Sectors
GMO joined F3 St. Louis in 2018 after being prescribed a 13th medication, getting tired of the extra 60lbs padding and ground hog day-ing the clothes on the treadmill.
He was slow to catch F3 fever after the first day of three (3) killer merkins, 6mos before the first Q and then 6mos off because “embracing the winter suck” wasn’t his thing, yet. After the first year, the fire was lit with him becoming a site Q, AO launcher, Nantan, pandemic lock down resistor, explosive growth leader, two winter suck endurer and four GrowRuck finisher.
GMO’s mammon is Digital Transformation and Innovation at a Global Agricultural Company. He also serves his church and community through various leadership and men’s ministry programs.
He’s blessed to be married to his beautiful wife of 30 years and has 3 adult daughters. His concentrica includes a flux protecting ShieldLock and several Whetstone relationships.
As Head of US Sectors, GMO is honored to serve the men of F3 Nation, their families and the communities impacted by their leadership.
Head of Comz
Brian Jodice is known in the F3 Gloom as “Hello Kitty.” Kitty (for short) lives in Apex, NC, with his wife, Liz, and their two little girls (F3 Rey and Pink Dinosaur in the F3 Dads world).
He posts with the PAX of Carpex, where he jumped into F3 with both feet in May of 2017. At the start of 2020, Kitty took over the reins as Q of Culture for F3 Nation, and through his mission and D2X to connect the pax of F3 to something bigger than themselves. Kitty and F3 Repeato host the weekly Circle of Trust (COT) Podcast, which highlights the news of the F3 Nation. In addition to Q’ing Culture for the Nation, Kitty dips into that D2X bucket to design logos seen across the Nation having worked with Orlando, Chicago, Denver, South Wake, F3 Disaster Ops and more.
Mammon for Kitty is through strategic communications and branding. He serves as the Executive Vice President for a non-profit, advocacy organization called Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina. He is the oldest of three F3 men – Ralph, F3 Atari (Puget Sounds) and Adam, F3 Lightyear (Montgomery, AL), and his father is F3 Board Member Lt. Gen. Ralph Jodice (USAF-Ret.), Red Baron.
Head of Technology
Chris Gambino joined F3 in the fall of 2017 after listening to The Art of Manliness Podcast (AOM) Episode #324 featuring DREDD and OBT discussing how Fitness, Fellowship and Faith are the Cure of Sad Clown Syndrome. Chris had always been an outdoors and fitness nut, but knew he was missing something. F3 promoted the notion that they were “more than a workout” group, so what did he have to lose?
Chris showed up the next day to his first workout in the F3 Jacksonville region and the rest is history – Bada Bing was born. Bada Bing has served his region as Head of COMZ and enjoys documenting workouts and events as a hobbyist videography. He is passionate about utilizing technology as a supplement to real world relationships between men to further the F3 mission and help other men just like him find F3.
Bada Bing’s career has spanned Operations for healthcare, start-ups and technology companies. He has worked for companies such as Peerfit, Papa, and Black Knight. He also serves as a deacon at his local church in Ponte Vedra, FL, is involved in media relations for an OCR company and occasionally hosts a zero-time award winning podcast called Dudeology Show.
Bada Bing married his bride in 2005 and they have two shorties, Noah and Gabriella.
Head of Growth
Mike Sluhan, AKA “Beans,” came to F3 in a non-traditional way. In late 2018, a retreat taking place in St. Louis, MO had a few individuals from F3 as part of the leadership team putting on the retreat. One of the mornings during the retreat weekend, a workout option was offered. Little did Mike know; he was about to be renamed “Beans” and enter the F3 community.
Life was at a difficult point for Mike at that time and F3 was exactly what he needed; he just didn’t know it yet. Now, Beans desires to bring F3 to as many men as possible in the hopes that it can have the same impact in their lives! Since becoming involved with F3, Beans has served as a site Q, the Host Q for the St. Louis GrowRuck, Firestarter Q and now serves as Head of Expansion for the Nation. Continuing to help Plant, Grow and Serve all new opportunities for expansion within F3 is a passion for Beans in an effort to help spread this great community across the world.
Beans has been involved in the financial services industry for over 20 years, hence the reference to a bean counter as the origination of his F3 name. In 2008, he helped found a wealth management firm in St. Louis where the focus has been, and continues to be, in creating the “Next Generation of Wealth Planning”. Beans has been blessed with three wonderful children who have been the burning light in his heart and have been an inspiration to become the best father he can be.
Board of Directors
As we respectfully and carefully approach this next growth phase, you will see an emphasis in our board members on foundation building, independent oversight and governance, and setting up organizations and their leaders for long-term success of F3 Nation and F3 Foundation.
As noted on Twitter and in many face-to-face and/or phone conversations, the selection of F3’s initial Board marks the beginning of many opportunities for F3 and for its PAX. F3 hopes you will continue to reach out if you are able and willing to help, and the organization remains driven by and for the local workout as a gateway to male community leadership — free, open to all men, held outdoors, peer-led, and ending in a CoT.
The new board joins you in doing all we can to make sure F3 remains true to its mission and principles for today’s and generations of future leaders.
