Time to Commit to Carolinas Spartan Sprint

Time to Commit to Carolinas Spartan Sprint

[attention]YOU NEED TO MOVE QUICK TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT AND TO QUALIFY FOR THE SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNT PROVIDED BY OUR PARTNERS AT SPARTAN RACE – THE DISCOUNT WILL GO TO THE FIRST 750 F3 PEOPLE TO REGISTER WITH THIS CODE. [/attention]

All – it is time to step up and register for the Carolinas Spartan Sprint as soon as you can using the steps outlined below. We have one important change – due to the popularity of the race, we are all now scheduled to race on Sunday, March 24. We were not able to secure enough spots on Saturday, so even a group of 50 in the same heat didn’t work if we stayed with Saturday. In order to maximize the 2nd F, we chose Sunday and will all be able to finish before lunch. This is a great development. We know that this change will not work for everyone, but hopefully it works for most.

We will have nearly all the spots in the 0830 and 0845 heats, and if we go over that, there are spots in the heats that follow. YOU NEED TO MOVE QUICK TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT AND TO QUALIFY FOR THE SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNT PROVIDED BY OUR PARTNERS AT SPARTAN RACE – THE DISCOUNT WILL GO TO THE FIRST 750 F3 PEOPLE TO REGISTER WITH THIS CODE. Many of you HC’d back in October for yourselves and several others – it’s time to step up and put your money where your mouth was. We understand if some of your headlockees have backed out or have other plans, all we ask is that you and as many of your headlockees sign up as quickly as possible. We have told Spartan Race they can expect 700 from F3 Nation. This should not be much of a reach as we had 532 commitments during our initial push last fall. To be clear, you will not be charged for any spots that you asked for but can’t fill – just try to get as many out as possible. Our goal is to bring more than 700 to this race so we can show Spartan Race what F3 Nation is all about.

If you are interested in running in the Elite Heat on Sunday morning for a chance at getting on the podium, they are reserving 50 spots for us. These spots are about $30 higher in price before our discount. These will be filled on a first come first serve basis like the other spots.

Aye.

  1. Where do we go to sign up for the elite heat? Is there a code for that?

    • Never mind, looking forward to seeing other trail blazers from the nation, and some great 2nd F. Feels good to have the sign up complete, now for some good training.

  2. Tango Delta

Game on. Tclaps to Hawaii 5-0 for making this event happen for F3. It is now time for ALL OF YOU to start counting coup. Giddy up.

  3. Hit had to sign up for Saturday morning at 8:30 as that is the start of our school’s Spring Break – anyone else with same timing issue, feel free to join me – jump on the early times ASAP

Discount code didnt work but maybe we can get a rebate.

Thanks to 5-0 and TD – this is a great event

    • Wake Up Call

For Saturday I see team F3 Nation under Thrasher’s name. Did you join that team? I’d like to run with the 8:30am heat as well but am concerned that by joining that team we get moved back to another time.

      • The Spartan is a individual race – so you will go off in the Heat you are signed up for. You can run with Hit for as long as I can keep up. I think Doc is also doing 8:30am on Sat.

        • Wake Up Call

Individual race – certainly true. Spartan does provide you the option of joining a “team”. By joining a team it allows a larger group to be placed in the same heat if they wish to run together. However, by joining a team you run the risk of them changing your heat to keep the group together.

I’m in for the 8:30. Gladly accepting other competition to join in and push me. Let’s go.

  4. Money Hose

Money Hose here from Raleigh. 5-0, TD…will one of you side email me (andrew.tripp@gmail.com) to talk about Raleigh logistics? Many thanks for getting this thing going. MH

  5. Family related questions:
1 – Ms should sign up under same team and discount correct?
2 – confirmation that the Jr Spartan is run on Sunday too? Not clear on Spartan site.

    Thanks for organizing guys.

    • Tango Delta

Yes, on M’s and any one else that you are EH’ing.

  6. PAID!!!!

  7. Gnarly Goat

    In! Thanks Q’s!

  8. Big League Chew

They are requesting a team password….what is it? It is required.

  9. Halfpipe

Just registered myself and 1/4 Pipe. Hard to think past GRC but this is definitely an event that is circled on the calendar. We are both fired up for this one.

  10. Can I get a refund after that picture change?

    • Uncle – you know that is a completely bad a** photo. Maybe one day when you grow up you can get one of those. Or just get into the Elite Heat to see how big your stones are.

  11. Wake Up Call

For those looking for an early taste of Sunday’s run- Team F3 Nation (Wake Up Call) is on for the “confirmed” 8:30/8:45 Saturday launch. No passwords necessary just HCs.

  12. Signed up, Paid, ALL IN!!

  13. Run Stopper

Run Stopper and 2.0, Ninja Turtle are paid and ready to bring the pain..

    • Run Stopper

correction… feel the pain! NOT bring the pain!

  14. Talk Box

    Paid in Full.

  15. Just paid and we are still showing less than 200 people signed up under F3Nation team name. Let’s get it rolling and reach our goal of 700 strong!

    • Hawaii 5-O

Aye. Let’s get it done. Code for Saturday runners is F3Nation.

  16. 5-0, FYI, registered awhile back for Saturday, 9-12 slot due to guests in from out of town. Not under F3Nation. Is there a way to get it fixed so it helps with our #’s? Other guys are Doug Hawking and Dave Mello. Thx.

    • Hawaii 5-O

I am talking to Spartan today and will see what I can do. Thanks for the heads up.

  17. Dolphin is in for Sunday 8:30 window.

  18. Crabcake

    Crabcake is paid in full.

  19. Early Bloomer

DONT PAY UNTIL YOU CHECK WITH ME! I’m unlikely out and you can be Clem for the day!
