Accu-My-A$$. YHC went to bed at 10:15 last night and checked the weather for Wednesday morning. Forecast: 37 degrees, clear, 15 mph wind. YHC woke at 5 and heard the pitter-pat of rain against the windows. Dammit. Actual weather: 47 degrees, steady rain, minimal wind. Did I actually agree to Q today? (Yes. Get up.) All in all, the weather didn’t prove to be a problem for our workout this morning. I was particularly thankful that it wasn’t as cold or windy as forecast, and we were able to stay out of the rain for a good bit of the workout.
Dedication. Small but dedicated Pax today. Lots of easy excuses to fartsack this morning. Our lean crew would have none of that though. Nice work out there, fellas. #RangerStrong
Strip COP. Abel came dressed in his “Deadliest Catch” rain gear. Once we got inside the Castle, though, Abel started to feel the heat and ditched his rain coat at the first 100. At Level 5, Abel ditched his rain pants, too. (Thankfully, he had on shorts underneath.) Starting to feel a little uncomfortable at the trend, though, YHC told Abel that he had to keep the rest of his clothes on.
Don’t Jinx the GORUCK! Fishwrap said he thought the weather this morning was good prep for the upcoming GORUCK Challenge, but Hilary and Swamp Fox wanted to hear none of it, holding out hope that the weather will be nice and balmy in February for GORUCK.
