Beginning Saturday, we take F3 straight to heart of Charlotte with the launch of F3/Jungle from the corner of Trade & Tryon.

Dredd, Tango Delta and I are excited to launch this workout, which takes the F3 format out of the usual parks and school campuses and uses the entire urban landscape as our jungle gym.  Expect an hour of the same stuff you’ve come to expect from an F3 workout — constant motion, a high heart rate, muscle confusion and bodyweight exercises — but in a new setting, one that will give you a new perspective on Charlotte’s center city.

As with all F3 workouts, everyone is free to join and we welcome FNGs (Friendly New Guys), no matter what kind of shape you’re in.  The workout is intentionally structured to keep men of all fitness levels together in a group and give everyone a good physical beatdown.  We’re particularly hopeful that the location will prove attractive to folks who live in the center city and might not otherwise make it out to the ‘burbs on Saturday morning for a workout.

As F3 veterans, the three of us are kicking this workout off but will be looking to quickly hand it over to a small group of men who want to be the regular QICs.

We will gather at 0650 at the northeast corner of the Square, under the statue of the bare-chested woman in front of the Bank of America Corporate Center.  The workout launches promptly at 0700 and goes until 0800 with the Circle of Trust and Coffeeteria to follow.  If you don’t have a space in one of the downtown decks, you might want to allow a little extra time to be sure you can find on-street parking, as the summertime schedule of festivals and street fairs can make parking downtown tough at times.
