Spreadsheets from the Gloom:
_ This was a great start — a chance to explore the terrain a bit but also get in some elements of a beatdown. I’ll leave the exact details of the Inigo Montoya out, so as to preserve the surprise for Indy-ans who might (or might not) be getting something similar from The Bishop when he leads this Saturday, but suffice to say YHC is still feeling it more than three hours later.
_ Our vision for Ranger is that it include elements of the traditional F3 park workout, making use of all available structures and landscape elements in the park (as we do at Freedom, Latta and the Selwyn-AG-MPHS campus), as well as some of the urban/concrete jungle feel that we’re going to seek with the new F3/Jungle Saturday workout that launches at Trade & Tryon on June 16th. Because Independence is nestled in the middle of the Elizabeth Avenue/CPCC urban corridor, it’s an ideal location for getting the best of both worlds.
_ Another element of the urban experience is the guy who was sleeping on one of the picnic tables under the gazebo where the Indy pax normally gather each Saturday. What can I say? “This is my neighborhood.” Of course, you get that, but you also get the stunning view of the downtown skyline lit by the sunrise from the upper end of the park.
_ The Colonel calls a Level 3 UA on DoubleEagle, who hard-committed to attend several times on Tuesday, then was a no show.
_ Thanks to The Bishop for consecrating the basketball court with “holy water” following conclusion of the CoT. For those who haven’t witnessed this particular “tradition” yet, it alone makes the trip to Elizabeth worthwhile … Just sayin’
_ We officially launch next Wednesday at 0530. Park and gather in the lot between Elizabeth Traditional Elementary and the Hawthorne Rec Center.

Aye brother!
-
Next Wed, IN! Ha!
-
Alarm clock malfunction from me on Wednesday, not lack of desire. But as Colonel told me “Improper planning / execution is the same as wussing out after a hard commit”.
There are no excuses.
