F3 Chastain/ATL Backblast for 4/21/12
The few, the proud, the Five showed up for this past Saturday’s grueling workout. Led by Mark (ABC) Carlson, we had a great session. Also there were Kevin Walsh, Stephen Culp, Bill Boyle, and John Ellard.
After a lap and a stretch we set out. Started with some push-up work at the viewing platform: regulars, staggered, elevated, and some plank/push-up mixtures that were particularly painful.
Next, over to the small hill for some windsprints. 4 sets with some lunges mixed in for a break.
Back to the platform for some ab work. Crunches mixed in with: dollys, flutters, some knee-to-elbow crunches, etc. After a dizzy spell, we did two sets of stairs with some wall-sits mixed in. Good times.
Over to the wall for some step-ups mixed with some dips.
Back up the small hill, to the big hill where we did 5 (!) sprints up the hill with a corresponding number of push-ups.
Overall, very tough, as I think we had less rest time in between workouts than usual. Intense, but rewarding. Thanks, Mark.
Come out next Saturday and have some fun with us. Rumors of a Wednesday workout are in the air. More news on that to come.
