MOLESKIN:
-The weather was mighty kind to the pax again as we made our way out of the Church parking lot and set the pace for some Fellowship and pain. Not sure we can qualify the pace as a Fellowship pace anymore but it seemed to set the right tone for good Fellowship regardless. Strong showing by some of the RingRun FNG’s this morning. 3x claps.
-There was some confusion from El Cardinal as he was not expecting the new format. He checked the calendar on the website last night which still shows as a laid back run at a 9 minute pace. He was good sport, however, and seemed to have no problems tackling whatever was thrown his way. The updated info should be on the website within 24 hours.
-Pomfret was pleased to see that we were still doing the old format as he was afraid we would revert back after the Spartan. Nope, the new format will remain indefinitely. If you haven’t tried it yet I suggest you give it a try.
-Much of today’s course was familiar but we did take it into some new territory after posting in the gloom of Clipboard Alley. We crossed back over Selwyn and discovered some hills off of Colony. We had a warm-up on Glendale and then went down to the next hill on Arcadia which turns into the scenic Windingwood Lane. After a steep drop off and sharp left turn, Padre looked confused and said “this dead ends?” Well, we wasted no time in getting back up the beast for some heart thumping hill-work which will sure be back into the mix soon.
-The crazy-eyed Irishman known as Cindy will return next week to bring some pain from his Island. Be prepared.
-
I can attest to the pain of the new format. Aye.
