F3/Run – RingRun Backblast. 3/13/2012 – Bring on the Heat
The Faithful gathered in the balmy morning gloom for the weekly RingRun. We were reminded by the warm, humid morning that summer is just around the corner.
Pax:
My Little Friend
Glad Hander
Cindy
Padre
Moby
Malkovich
L10 – QIC
The Jet (RingRun FNG)
Thang:
5 miles through Myers Park, including a couple loops around Chelsea/Dellwood/Clipboard Alley loop. We included push-ups, dry docks, jump-ups, LBCs, dips, bear crawls, frog jumps, sprints, and hill sprints along the way.
Moleskin:
Padre made an impactful entrance as he ripped into the parking lot as we were launching at 5:31. The guy can really move as he was still tying his shoes while catching up to the pax before he even had his car parked.
The idea this morning was to have a higher intensity workout, with more explosive bursts, while allowing the pax a few moseys to recover. We pushed hard on the first couple stops with intense reps of push-ups, dips, and ab work. We then mixed it up with some higher intensity sprints, bear crawls, and frog jumps. The 2nd sprint up the Dellwood Hill proved to be the knockout punch for YHC this morning. Although I convinced myself we needed to head straight back to CEC so we could get in around the 45 minute mark… truth is, I was smoked fellas.
It was another depressing scene at Clipboard Alley this morning. Didn’t spot any clipboards but there was one sad face slowly making his way around gym, while occasionally peeking outside to see what all the activity was about.
Triple claps to everyone who pushed through the pain this morning. It was a tough workout and everyone was up to the challenge and finished strong. To knock out the sprints, Dellwood hill x2, jump-ups and still finish the fifth mile at around a 7:45/mile pace is impressive.
Also, very nice showing by The Jet who made his RingRun debut. He was a natural out in the gloom this morning. 3x claps.

Today was awesome. Add me to the list in favor of renaming Cindy. I misjudged how far our return run was and tried to keep pace. I was able to for a little while then fell by the wayside. Cindy kept trucking.

Truckin’!?! Like the Do-dah man? Is the Jet suggesting a nickname with that post?
-
a Dancing Bear could be fast like Cindy.

We missed your clickety clack shoes this week, A&H!
-
That was my knee. You clearly got upgraded with a Jet for A&H switch.
